Blood Stone is also known as heliotrope; one of the gemstone forms of the mineral chalcedony (unbanded), is a dark green gem stone with red spots. The green of bloodstone is spotted with red, because of the presence of iron oxides. These distinctive spots appear to resemble blood, and provide the stone its name.  It is considered to be lucky gemstone for Aries, Scorpions or natives of birth number 9. It is good for general well being and financial prosperity. It is particularly useful for bankers, financial experts and those dealing with insurance, banking, stocks and shares and financial manipulations.
